[3DS] New details about Kid Icarus: Uprising

January 25th, 2012 – Nintendo shared some new details with us about the story line and the single player mode of Kid Icarus: Uprising. This game will be launched on March 23rd in Europe, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. More than 25 years after the launch of the original Kid Icarus for the NES.

The start: The story of this game starts with Medusa, the queen of the underworld, and her Underworld Army. The heroic angle Pit has to beat them along with the help of Palutena, the Goddess of the light, and the protector of the human race. Pit fights in the air, as well as on the ground.

Fiend’s Cauldron: The Fiend’s Cauldron is a new system that allows players to modify their experience per every Chapter, in a range of 0.0 to 9.0. The higher the Intensity settings are, the more agressive the enemies become, but they’ll also get more stamina and strength, while players can get more hearts and more bonuses, if they beat them. Players can also use the hearts to buy new weapons. By default, the Intensity is set on 2.0, but players can also set it on 0.1, for example. In order to set a higher Intensity, players must get bigger and bigger hearts. If a player loses during a Chapter, they’ll lose a heart and the Intensity will be lowered automatically.

• Weapons: There’s lots of weapons to collect while playing. There are nine categories of weapons, which go from Divine Bows to Shot Claws.

Vehicles: While advancing through the adventure, Pit gets more and more special vehicles, like the Exo Tank. Pit can do the powerful sliding function of this tank to beat enemies.

De left hand can be used for the Circle Pad, while the right hand is used for the Stylus. Every copy of this game will ship with a free standard, which the Nintendo 3DS can be placed on a flat spot, so players can enjoy an all new gaming experience.
